PRIORITIES
1. a more competitive and smarter Europe
To develop and strengthen research and innovation capacities and the introduction of advanced technologies in companies, in order to enhance the skills and competitiveness, in particular of SMEs, as well as to encourage job creation; to facilitate citizens’ access to digitisation
Following, some planned actions identified under the Specific objective i) of Priority 1) Developing and strengthening research and innovation capacities and the introduction of advanced technologies:
– support to industrial research and experimental development projects implemented by partnerships made up of companies and research bodies constituted in Regional Innovative Networks [RIR], Industrial Districts or Business Aggregations, encouraging collaborative research activities that involve knowledge exchange between companies of different sizes, universities and research bodies;
– support to excellence research and innovation projects with a high R&I and a TRL index [Technology Readiness Level] equal to or greater than 5. In this way it will be possible to support projects considered to be of excellence and at the same time encourage the participation of Veneto companies in calls for direct support [e.g. Horizon Europe];
– support to innovative SMEs and start-ups for research and innovation activities, also including through specific services of R&D and technology transfer;
– support and enhancement of research infrastructures and innovation and technology transfer centres for the supply of advanced services to enterprises, in order to give a concrete response to the research and innovation needs of the Veneto business system.
These actions must be coherent with the themes and priorities identified under the Regional Smart Specialisation Strategy.
2. a greener and low-carbon resilient Europe
To promote actions aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions by promoting energy efficiency and the use of renewable energies; to strengthen nature preservation and adaptation to climate changes, and to prevent disaster risks
3. a more connected Europe by enhancing sustainable urban mobility
To encourage sustainable multimodal urban mobility as part of the transition towards a zero carbon emissions economy
4. a more social and inclusive Europe
To improve equal access to education and training services through the development of accessible infrastructures; to promote socio-economic inclusion of disadvantaged communities; strengthening the role of sustainable culture and tourism in economic development, social inclusion and social innovation
5. a Europe closer to citizens
To promote integrated and inclusive social, economic and environmental development, as well as culture, natural heritage, sustainable tourism and security in urban and non-urban areas
